We were especially happy to offer our token program, helping make fresh, local goods more accessible to our community.

Hurricane Helene left Swannanoa without reliable access to fresh food and local vendors without income. In February 2025, that market began and has continued to develop based on community need and input.
This season marked an important step forward. We were able to launch a community-funded food access program that allows neighbors using EBT and SNAP benefits to shop at the market through a sponsor-supported token system.
We expanded programming with live music, kids’ activities, and wellness days. This is a gathering space where the community connects, and local growers and artists thrive.
We are also actively seeking additional farm vendors for local produce, meats, and food products.

We will be back in 2027 hoping to grow, and we want YOU to be part of it. Whether you’re a local vendor, musician, community organization, sponsor, donor, or volunteer, there is a place for you at the market.
From live music to community programming, from fresh food to local partnerships, this market is built by and for the community.
