We believe no one should have to recover from a disaster alone.

If you’re still living with challenges related to the storm, or know someone who is, our disaster case manager can offer longer-term support and assistance, connect you to organizations and programs that specialize in repair, rebuilding, or other disaster-related needs, and be a partner to cheer you on, as we all recover from the storm.

The Swannanoa Farmers Market at The Hub will resume in Spring 2026.

The Hub cohosts a weekly open bluegrass jam with local Swannanoa business, Terra Nova.

We worked in partnership with Warren Wilson College to create a community garden at The Hub.

The Hub hosted a Back to School event where we were able to distribute hundreds of backpacks filled with school supplies with the help of Valley Hope Church and other local nonprofits.

We worked in partnership with Warren Wilson College and Victory Gardens by Raine to create a community garden at The Hub.

Laura Hope Gill, head of the Narrative Healthcare program at Lenoir-Rhyne University hosted a free narrative medicine workshop at The Hub.

The Hub works in partnership with Mountain Food Products and the WNC Farmers Market to ensure there is fresh produce available for purchase at the Swannanoa Farmers Market.

The Hub's community quilt workshop is led by community members Melanie, a professional fiber artist, and Clare, a grief facilitator. This event is free and open to the public, with all supplies included.

The Hub’s Tonia Allen, Founding Member, and Joyce Endaya, Operations Director, attended the WNC Nonprofit Pathways Leadership Forum “Rising Above Together: Resilience, Recovery, and the Road Ahead.”

To honor and support the work of Long Term Recovery Partners, we hosted a free one-day training led by Resources for Resilience.

Hurricane Helene left Swannanoa residents without access to fresh food and local vendors without income. In February of 2025, the market began as a community effort, spearheaded by The Hub’s founding member, Deana Lytle. Since then, we have welcomed over 55 local vendors to our market.
